Sunderland think again over Wilson swoop
03:30 PM 03 March, 2010
Sunderland Football Club have reportedly decided against signing Marc Wilson.

Portsmouth are hoping to get special dispensation from Fifa to sell players outside of the transfer window, to help ease their crippling financial problem.

Wilson was heavily speculated upon as one of three players who were to be made available, and widespread reports linked him with a move to the Black Cats.

However, it is now being claimed that Steve Bruce has decided against a £4million deal for the 22-year-old, and will instead look for alternative defensive reinforcements in the summer.
