Huddlestone setback for Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club’s Tom Huddlestone has suffered ankle ligament damage.
The midfielder picked up the problem during the 2-1 win over Everton on Sunday, and the extent of the injury and how long he will be sidelined for will be established after a visit to a specialist.
"Scans have revealed that Tom Huddlestone has suffered damage to the ligaments in his right ankle," read an official club statement.
"The England international sustained the injury during Sunday's win over Everton and the player will now be seen by ankle specialists before deciding on the best course of rehabilitation."
Harry Redknapp has acted swiftly to replace the former Derby County youngster in his White Hart Lane squad, by recalling Jake Livermore from his loan spell at Peterborough United.
