Dirk Kuyt reckons his Dutch pal will play for Arsenal Football Club again this season.

The Holland international has been out of action after suffering a serious ankle injury playing for Oranje in a friendly clash with Italy last November.

It was feared that van Persie would miss the rest of the season, but his compatriot Kuyt, of Liverpool, believes he will return towards the end of the campaign.

“It was a very bad injury,” said the Anfield man to Sky Sports. “But as far as I believe he is working very hard to come back and be ready for the last couple of games for Arsenal.”

By this time the Gunners will be hoping the former Feyenoord man can help them win the Premier League or, who knows, even the UEFA Champions League.
