Flamengo has dismissed speculation they have moved to take Deco from Chelsea Football Club.

The Portugal international has endured a difficult time in England since arriving from Barcelona in the summer of 2008, and he admits he wants to return to Brazil, the nation of his birth.

It had been suggested that Flamengo have already made a move to take Deco at the end of the season, but vice-president Marcos Braz has denied these claims.

"I know the news published in England but this does not make any sense," Braz told Globoesporte. "At this moment the player is not a part of our plans."
