Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi has been linked with a move to Napoli.

The former Manchester United striker is currently plying his trade in Spain, where he is one of the most promising talents in La Liga with Villarreal.

The Yellow Submarine are unlikely to qualify for Europe next season, and Rossi’s agent has hinted of a move to Italy where Napoli are known to be interested.

“Rossi’s future is in the balance,” Federico Pastorello told Radio Goal. “At this moment Villarreal are in great difficulty and it’s unlikely they will qualify for Europe.

“This means, faced with a club that presents a good offer, Villarreal could sell Rossi. I find it fairly obvious that his future will not be in Spain. Napoli are among the best sides in Italy.”
