Simon Kjaer is ready to make the move to Liverpool Football Club this summer.

The 20-year-old Denmark international is rated as one of the best young defenders in Europe, and is currently plying his trade in Italy with Palermo.

Kjaer has been tracked by many clubs over the course of the season including Manchester United, but he has revealed his preferred destination would be Anfield.

"I will take a step towards the dream or I will stay in Palermo,' he is quoted in the Daily Mail. "I would prefer to have it sorted out before the World Cup.

"I am ready for a new challenge, but is has to be an attractive club. The Premier League is the best league in the world and then there is Barcelona and Real Madrid in Spain.

"England and the physical playing style would probably suit me better. In case the right offers come, it would be exciting to form a partnership with [Daniel] Agger at Liverpool."
