Manchester City Football Club face stiff competition for Jerome Boateng.

The Blues have been heavily linked with the 21-year-old for much of the season, as Roberto Mancini plans to bolster his back four ahead of the 2010/11 campaign.

Boateng, a German international, is believed to be amongst the top of his list of targets, but Il Sussidiario claim AC Milan are also interested in his signature.

Hamburg would ideally like to keep the player for at least one more season, but he has a clause in his contract allowing him to move on if an offer of €12million is received.
