Sir Alex Ferguson has heaped praise on Manchester United Football Club ace Paul Scholes.

The veteran midfielder scored his 100th Premier League goal on Saturday, and it was a vital won which earned the Reds three points at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

This win returned the champions to the top of the Premier League, and Ferguson was full of praise for Scholes, who is expected to play on for at least another season.

"Paul had an excellent game," said the Scot. "That is his 100th league goal for us, which is a great achievement. He is a marvellous player.”
