AC Milan are set to pull the plug on their interest in Edin Dzeko.

The Rossoneri have been chasing the Bosnian striker for some time, due to his superb performances for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League.

However, reports on Sussidiario.net claim the Italian giants are set to turn their back on Dzeko, due to the form of current striker including Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, and the €40million asking price.

“I think Milan would have difficulty in meeting the €40m recessionary clause for Dzeko. An agreement with Milan is very far," agent Irfan Redzepagic said.
