Blackburn Rovers Football Club are keeping tabs on Shikabala.

The Ewood Park boss is eager to boost his squad in the summer window, as he looks to rid Rovers of their struggles of recent season.

Reports in the Daily Mail claim Allardyce has taken a liking to Zamalek playmaker Shikabala, who has scored 17 goals in 45 international caps for Egypt.

The 24-year-old almost joined Italian side Napoli in the New Year, but the move broke down and the player remains under contract with his current club until 2011.
