Landon Donovan is set to bid farewell to Everton Football Club this weekend.

The American has greatly impressed during his loan stint at Goodison Park, but he is due to return to parent club LA Galaxy next week.

Donovan is set to line-up for the Toffees at Birmingham City on Saturday afternoon, but he will leave with only good memories of his time in England.

"When I think of everything at Everton I want to think of the trip as a whole and think that I have been successful," he told the club's official website. "It has been fantastic.

“I could never have expected when I got here that it would turn out like this. The fans want you to play as hard as you can when you are out there. That is what I like to give when I am out there.”
