Harry Redknapp admits Jonathan Woodgate is unlikely to play again this season.

The Tottenham Hotspur defender has constantly struggled with injuries during his career, and he has made just three Premier League appearances this season.

Spurs have now revealed Woodgate has undergone an operation in Australia in a bid to cure a groin problem, and Redknapp doesn’t expect to have him available for the rest of the campaign.

"It was a groin problem he has had,” he said. “Eventually he went to America and has ended up in Australia to see a specialist out there and they have operated on him.

"There were a couple of options but they confident they have got the right answer so we will have to wait and see. Will he play again this season? There is no real chance."
