Atletico Madrid have not been in touch over a possible transfer for Giuseppe Rossi.

It has been reported that the Spanish side are interested in taking the former Manchester United ace, who has impressed in La Liga since joining Villarreal.

However, this speculation has been rubbished by agent Andrea Pastorello, who insists he knows nothing of the Vicente Calderon’s apparent interest in Rossi.

“There are absolutely no negotiations in place,” Pastorello told Tuttomercatoweb. “I have never heard from anyone at Atletico Madrid nor from Villarreal in this regard.”
