Gary Johnson wants to keep Chris Iwelumo at Bristol City Football Club.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers striker is set to play his last game of a loan stint with the Robins on Saturday, but Johnson hopes to agree an extension to this deal.

“I'm in dialogue with (Wolves manager) Mick McCarthy," he told the clubs official website. "We've had a chat about a few variables and I'm happy with that.

“We've promised to speak to each other again on Sunday morning. We really can't discuss anything more until after the Reading game."
