Andrea Poli has played down reports linking him with Manchester City Football Club.

It has been suggested that the young Sampdoria midfielder has made Roberto Mancini’s list of targets for the summer, but the 20-year-old is paying little attention to the speculation.

"At this moment I prefer not to think about this sort of thing," he told Corriere Mercantile. "I prefer to live day by day, concentrating on the moment that I am going through."

Poli has made 23 appearances in Serie A this season, and his performances are sure to gain attention from a number of clubs should it be known he could become available in the summer.
