Rooney not yet a Manchester United great
Wayne Rooney, by his own admission, is not yet a great at Manchester United Football Club.
The England international joined the Reds in the summer of 2003, and he has played an integral role in the winning of three Premier League titles and a UEFA Champions League.
Rooney has hit 30 goals in all competitions this season, including a winner in the Carling Cup final, but he has dismissed claims he can be considered a club legend.
"I have so much learning and improving to do over the next few years," he said in The Sun. "At the end of my career it would be nice to be spoken of as one of the greats.
“But right now I certainly don't see myself as that. It's only my sixth year at Manchester United, you need a few more before you can be saying that."
