Rangers Football Club’s Madjid Bougherra has been ruled out of the League Cup final.

The Algerian international is struggling to overcome a hamstring injury, and assistant manager Ally McCoist has confirmed he will miss the Hampden date with St Mirren next weekend.

“He's out for a few weeks," he said. "He went for a scan and it's revealed a small tear in the hamstring, which would probably be about three weeks, hopefully less than four.”

Danny Wilson is expected to deputise for Bougherra, when he will again link up with David Weir in the heart of the back four for the Gers.
