Gianluigi Buffon will not be joining Manchester City Football Club in the summer.

Reports in Italy claimed the mega-rich Blues were prepared to pay £35million for the Italian international goalkeeper, but the agent of the Juventus man has rubbished the speculation.

"Buffon to City? It's not true. Sometimes people write all sorts of things, but it's not true," Silvano Martina exclusively told Goal.com.

"He has a contract until 2013 and he will finish his career there. I don't know how this news comes about. Someone wakes up drunk in the morning and they shoot this nonsense out.”
