Manchester United boss would welcome Ronaldo return

Sir Alex Ferguson admits he would like Cristiano Ronaldo to return to Manchester United Football Club in the future, just months after selling him to Real Madrid.

The Reds received a world record £80million for the Portugal international in the summer, but Ferguson hopes he will make a sensational return to Old Trafford before he hangs up his boots.

“You'd like to think Ronaldo would want to come back here but you never know,” he said. "I don't think he will stay at Real Madrid all his life - there are other challenges for him."

Ronaldo enjoyed a superb six-year spell in Manchester, during which time he won three Premier League titles and a UEFA Champions League as he became arguably the best player on the planet.

I will come back at the end of this season. I want to. I went against advice and left because I wanted to win spanish cups but i only felt real magic at old trafford. I miss it.

When Ronaldo leave manchester, he hope he can bring the miracle at real madrid, but his team is out from champion league now. Ronaldo, your star & give is for your best. The club that he should shines is only MANCHESTER UNITED. So bring back ronaldo to OLD TRAFFORD. U ARE DESERVE HERE WITH MORE GLORY.... NZM....

ronaldo is a great player but man utd will always be just that;with or without him,so i think we're ok as we are.after all,rooney is doing great and the duties of valencia,nani and park are helping a lot...so let roonaldo remain at madrid!

I'd like to see Ronaldo playing again this season so I'm really looking forward to seeing Portugal play in the World Cup. My dream would have been a Real Madrid v Arsenal Champions League final but, disappointingly, that can't happen now. As for Ronaldo playing back in the UK, given his professionalism my guess is that no serious thought has been given to this and that his thoughts and plans for this season are completly aligned and focussed with Real Madrid's and that when the Spanish football season is over and it's time for him to start thinking about the World Cup thoughts of playing back in the UK will remain firmly out of his mind and his focus will be on working with his Portuguese team mates and coaches / managers for a successful campaign. His team is now Real Madrid and it's time to move on.
