Liverpool keeping tabs on McLeish
07:30 PM 14 March, 2010
Liverpool Football Club are keeping tabs on Alex McLeish, according to reports.

The former Rangers and Scotland coach is earning a good reputation for himself since moving to England, when he took the reins at Birmingham City in November 2007.

Although the Blues suffered relegation that season, he took them back up at the first time of asking and has this season guided them to eighth place in the Premier League.

On Merseyside, the pressure is growing on Rafael Benitez, who is struggling to lead his side to a top-four finish, whilst they were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League before Christmas.

Reports in The Mirror claim the Reds are keeping tabs on McLeish’s situation at St Andrews, as he enters the final eighteen months of his existing contract.
