Barcelona have joined the race for Angel di Maria, who is also wanted in England.

Both Chelsea and Manchester United have been heavily linked with the 21-year-old in recent weeks, with scouts from the Premier League duo keeping tabs on the Benfica ace.

The Portuguese side have a clause in di Maria’s contract which would allow him to leave for €50million, but it is widely thought they are willing to accept half of this amount.

Reports in El Mundo Deportivo claim Barca are ready to challenge for the signature of the Argentine, as they consider him a cheaper alternative to Bayern Munich’s Franck Ribery.
