Luis Fabiano has hinted he is ready to test his ability in the English Premier League.

The Brazilian international is in his fifth season in Spain, where he has proven himself to be a consistent goalscorer during his spell with Sevilla.

It appears the 29-year-old is ready for a new challenge, and he admits England could be his next destination, claiming Chelsea and Manchester City have in the past shown an interest.

“In Seville I am very well, but I’ve reached the age when I think it is high time to measure myself with a big club,” said Fabiano, who is under contract until 2011.

“A couple of times I have been close to landing in the English Premier League. Chelsea, last year, and then two years ago, it was Manchester City.”

The former Sao Paolo hitman, who almost signed for AC Milan last summer, is expected to fetch a transfer fee of around £15million should he be made available.
