Corinthians are hopeful of taking Deco from Chelsea Football Club in the summer.

The Portugal international was born in Brazil, and he has revealed an intention to return to the South American nation to see out his career.

Deco still has twelve months remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, but Corinthians are hopeful of securing a deal with the Blues.

The Sao-Paolo based club have already added legend Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos to their squad, and now coach Mano Menezes wants the former Barcelona ace.

“He (Deco) is a great player,” he said. “He has had a very significant international career and I don’t need to tell you about his quality. There is always room for a great player like him.”
