Blackburn Rovers star can still make World Cup
Sam Allardyce reckons Paul Robinson can still make England’s squad for the World Cup Finals.
Although the Blackburn Rovers number one has been ruled out for around a month with a calf injury, Allardyce believes he still has time to force his way into Fabio Capello’s plans.
"He'll be back well before the season finishes and he'll have plenty of games to play when he does come back," the Ewood Park boss told Sky Sports.
"He's had an outstanding season but he's found it difficult to push himself into Fabio's squad. But if he gets back and performs like he has done this season then hopefully he'll be selected."
Despite not being considered as a first team pick for the Three Lions since the Euro 2008 qualifiers, Robinson had featured in Capello’s squad for the 2010 World Cup qualifying section.
