Steven Gerrard Liverpool Football Club still haven’t seen the best of Fernando Torres.

The Spanish international has been simply sensational since arriving at Anfield in the summer of 2007, in a deal which cost them a bargain £20million.

Torres has scored 53 goals in 76 Premier League appearances, and 17 in his last 27 in all competitions, but Gerrard is sure there is more to come from the former Atletico Madrid ace.

"There is lot more to come from Fernando in a Liverpool shirt, believe me," he said. "He had been out a long time so it was only natural that it was going to take him a few games to find his rhythm.

“But he is closing in on that now and it is fantastic for the team. If we can keep him fit and firing, we'll have a really big chance of achieving what we want to. He is world class, it's as simple as that.”
