Tottenham Hotspur wants to keep Gudjohnsen
12:30 PM 21 March, 2010
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club hope to sign Eidur Gudjohnsen on a permanent basis.

The Icelandic forward joined Spurs from Monaco on loan in January, and he scored his first goal for the club in the crucial 2-1 win at Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.

Although Harry Redknapp has Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch and Roman Pavlyuchenko in his squad, and Robbie Keane due back from Celtic in the summer, he wants to keep hold of Gudjohnsen.

"I want to keep him here next year,” he said. "The chairman did the deal for him and I don't know the details, but we are certainly interested. The rest of the lads really love playing with him."
