Celtic fight Giallorossi for Pompey fullback
06:30 PM 21 March, 2010
Celtic Football Club are set to enter the race for Nadir Belhadj in the summer.

The Algerian international fullback is certain to leave cash-strapped Portsmouth at the end of the season, as the South Coast club prepare for life outside of the Premier League.

Roma are said to be interested in taking Belhadj in a deal worth around £2.5million, whilst European champions Barcelona are also believed to be interested.

However, the latest reports claim Tony Mowbray has made the left-back a top target for Parkhead, and hopes the lure of guaranteed first team football will win his signature.
