Liverpool Football Club hope to arrange Albert Riera’s sale this week.

The Spanish winger joined the Reds in an £8million deal from Espanyol in the summer of 2008, when Rafael Benitez went to great lengths to get him to Anfield.

However, Riera has failed to settle in England and last week slammed his coach, which earned him a suspension from the club and is likely to seal his departure.

It is believed the Premier League side are now looking to arrange to sell the 27-year-old this week to CSKA Moscow, who have in the past expressed an interest in the player.
