Chris Brunt hopes Steven Reid stays at West Bromwich Albion Football Club.

The 29-year-old has impressed the Baggies since moving in a loan deal from Blackburn Rovers, where he is out of contract in the summer.

Brunt believes the experience of the Republic of Ireland international could be priceless next season, when Albion will once again play in the top-tier of English football.

“Reid can definitely help us in the Premier League - since he's been here he's been a top man," Brunt told the club's official website. "He's a great lad as well and all the boys have taken to him.

"I know he's had bad injury problems over the last few seasons, but he has got Premier League experience and he has given us that calmness in situations when a younger player might have lost it.

"Players like that are definitely the sort we need in the Premier League."
