Arsenal Football Club have rubbished speculation linking them with David Beckham.

The England international is set to leave LA Galaxy for a loan stint in Italy with AC Milan, and Arsene Wenger has shrugged off speculation he is keen to hijack this move.

“I'll certainly not [sign him] as a player for the club,” Wenger said.

“If he wants to be fit and practice, why not? But we have Theo Walcott who plays in this position and Emmanuel Eboue who plays in this position so we are not looking for a right midfielder.”
