Bale set for bumper new Tottenham Hotspur deal
Gareth Bale is set to be handed a bumper new deal at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
The Wales international looked to have an uncertain future at the start of the season, when he was out of favour with Harry Redknapp at White Hart Lane.
However, he has been outstanding since forcing his way into the starting eleven at the turn of the year, sparking speculation Manchester United are willing to pay £20million for his signature.
This looks to have sprung Spurs into offering Bale the chance to double his money to remain at the club, with the London Evening Standard claiming a £50,000-per-week offer is set to be tabled.
The youngster is still under contract at Redknapp’s club until the summer of 2012, but they hope he will agree terms on a deal which will further extend his stay.
