Baggies to pip Wigan Athletic to McArthur?
West Bromwich Albion Football Club hope to win the race for James McArthur this summer.
The Hamilton youngster is making a name for himself due to his performances in Scotland, and Roberto Martinez hopes to take him to Wigan Athletic.
Of course, the Latics swooped on the Scottish club to take James McCarthy last summer, and they are confident of a second swoop ahead of the 2010-2011 season.
However, Roberto Di Matteo is also a big fan of McArthur, 23, and the Baggies boss is said to be planning an offer of £800,000 for the 22-year-old midfield player.
