Richardson rules out West Bromwich Albion return
03:30 PM 05 May, 2010
Kieran Richardson hopes to stay at Sunderland Football Club.

The 25-year-old has been at the Stadium of Light for three years, but he has often been played at left-back this season as opposed to his usual midfield role.

West Bromwich Albion, one of his former clubs, have been linked with the former Manchester United star, but the player insists he wants to remain in Steve Bruce’s plans.

"I definitely want to stay here and the manager wants me to stay, too, so I'll be here next season," said Richardson in the Daily Star. "This will be my fourth year here.

“I said when I joined I wanted to put down roots, prove myself as a Premier League player and settle at the club. I'm enjoying it here. I love the club, the area and the fans.”
