Benjani could be offered Blackburn Rovers chance
Sam Allardyce is eyeing Manchester City Football Club’s Benjani.
The Zimbabwe international is well down the pecking order at Eastlands, a situation which is likely to get even worse when Roberto Mancini adds to his squad this summer.
The 31-year-old spent the second half of the 2009-2010 season on loan at Sunderland, but he failed to find the back of the net and the Black Cats will not offer him a deal.
However, Benjani, formerly of Portsmouth, could get a Premier League lifeline at Blackburn Rovers, as the Mirror claim they are set to offer him a move to Ewood Park.
City would be only too happy to let the striker quit the club during the summer, and Allardyce will be hopeful of picking him up for next to nothing.
