Jon Walters has penned another new contract at Ipswich Town Football Club.

A number of Premier League sides have been linked with the player in recent months, but he has ended speculation over his future by penning a deal which keeps him at Portman Road until 2012.

"We're delighted," Ipswich boss Jim Magilton told the club's official website. "There was a lot of speculation about his future during the summer, but we made it clear that we wanted him.

"There were Premier League clubs showing an interest in him, but we have always seen him as an important part of what we are building here."
