Arsenal may yet make bid for Richards
03:30 PM 04 June, 2010
Arsenal Football Club are being tipped to make a move for Micah Richards.

The 21-year-old Manchester City defender is out of favour at Eastlands, and it is largely considered that he needs a change of scenery to reignite his career.

It is believed Roberto Mancini is prepared to let Richards leave for around £9million, a figure which is said to be of interest to Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp.

However, according to reports on footylatest.com, Arsene Wenger is also interested in the player, and could make a move to take him to the Emirates Stadium during the summer window.

Richards usually operates as a right fullback, but he has the stature of a central defender, and there have also been suggestions he could easily develop into a top midfielder.

He would be a good signing, providing he stays fit n recaptures his old form.

Plus I recall him saying a couple of years ago that he's a boyhood Arsenal fan as well, which would help in the loyalty stakes.
