Blackpool Football Club could be about to enter the race for Nyron Nosworthy.

The 29-year-old is out of favour under Steve Bruce at Sunderland, and he spent the latter part of the 2009-2010 season on loan at Sheffield United.

The Championship club now want to take the defender on a permanent basis, but skysports.com understands Ian Holloway also has him on his shortlist.

After guiding the Tangerines to the Premier League, the Bloomfield Road boss is on the lookout to boost his squad, and he feels Nosworthy would be a good addition.
