Kevin Blackwell admit Sheffield United Football Club are unlikely to sign Nyron Nosworthy.

The 29-year-old impressed during his time on loan at Bramall Lane last season, but the Blades financial situation means they will struggle to sign him from Sunderland on a permanent basis.

"At this moment in time the finance will be too great for us," said manager Blackwell. "It would have been a big signing if we could have done it but at this moment he is probably out of our reach."

Nosworthy would cost a fee of around £1million this summer, and he has also been linked with Premier League new-boys Blackpool and West Bromwich Albion.
