Mark Schwarzer, Fulham’s Australian international, and Maarten Stekelenburg of Ajax have been heavily linked, but reports in Italy claim Federico Marchetti is an option.

Cagliari only clinched the outright signature of the 27-year-old earlier this year, but Sportitalia claim he could be set to move on during the summer window.

Capped seven times by the Azzurri, it is believed the goalkeeper could be the subject of talks between the two clubs during the coming weekend.
