West Bromwich Albion Football Club will not be taking a chance on Eric Djemba-Djemba.

The Cameroon international, formerly of Manchester United, Aston Villa and Burnley, is currently plying his trade in Denmark with BK Odense.

Djemba-Djemba was given permission to travel to England to hold talks with the Baggies this week, but a problem with his medical has scuppered his chances of a move.

“West Brom have decided not to pursue their interest in Odense midfielder Eric Djemba-Djemba,” read an official statement on the club’s website.

"He travelled to England to meet the club earlier this week. But, following medical tests and further talks between the clubs, Albion have decided not to proceed with a deal."
