Andrews grateful for Blackburn Rovers chance
08:30 PM 03 November, 2008
Keith Andrews is delighted to have been given a chance at Blackburn Rovers Football Club.

The 28-year-old arrived at Ewood Park in the summer when Paul Ince raided former club MK Dons for this signature, and he notched his first Premier League goal in the 2-2 draw at West Bromwich Albion.

"It is a fairytale for me being in the Premier League," said Andrews in the Daily Star. "I am very grateful to the manager for showing that belief in me.

"He has worked with me for years as a player at Wolverhampton Wanderers and as a manager. I don't think any other manager of an established football club would have had a punt on me.

"It is good to prove to myself I can play at this level. My team-mates have been quite kind to me about it. They don't really see me as the manager's best mate.

"I have had to come in and prove to them and everyone I can play at this level though."
