Tottenham Hotspur Football Club are reportedly interested in Maynor Figueroa.

The Honduran international has made a big impression in England, since Steve Bruce signed him for Wigan Athletic, on an initial loan deal back in 2008.

Now in charge of Sunderland, Bruce would love to sign the 27-year-old for a second time, whilst Liverpool have also been heavily linked with the fullback.

And now reports in The Wigan Observer claim Spurs had representatives in attendance at the DW Stadium on Wednesday when the Latics hosted Real Zaragoza in a pre-season friendly.

It is believed Figueroa was the reason for the visit from the White Hart Lane club, sparking speculation they may launch a bid before the start of the new season.
