Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have been linked with a £7million move for Shay Given.

Although Harry Redknapp continues to publicly back Heurelho Gomes to anybody who will listen, doubts remain about the future of the Brazilian goalkeeper at White Hart Lane.

And according to Goal.com, the Spurs manager is now lining up a January move for Newcastle United’s reliable shot-stopper Given, who would cost a fee in the region of £7million.

“Shay Given is a great goalkeeper who I admire. Any manager would have to be interested in him if he became available,” said Redknapp.
