Kamil Zayatte has emerged as a target for Newcastle United Football Club.
As ever, the Magpies are looking to bolster their back four before the deadline, as Chris Hughton aims to ensure top-flight football remains on the agenda.
It is unclear how much the United manager has to spend before Tuesday, but reports claim he has set his sights on a deal for Zayatte.
The 25-year-old Guinea international has been at Hull City since 2008, but he clearly feels he is too good to be plying his trade in the Championship.
Zayatte has in the past claimed to be of sufficient quality to appear for Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester United, whilst Tottenham Hotspur failed with an offer for him in January 2009.
It is believed Newcastle are set to make an offer to take him to St James Park before the weekend, and the player is likely to be interested in such a move.
