Fabio happy with Middlesbrough spell
Fabio Rochemback has no regrets over his spell at Middlesbrough Football Club.
The Brazilian has returned to Sporting Lisbon after three years at the Riverside Stadium, and despite an unspectacular spell in England, he insists he has no regrets.
"Despite English football's characteristics, I don't regret signing for Boro," Rochemback told O Jogo. "It was three years with ups and downs, but such experiences are of great value for every player.
"I learnt a lot on and off the pitch during this time. I went there with the objective of growing as a player and as a person. The first year was difficult because I had to settle in and wasn't used to the tactics.
“It was about long ball and aggressive-style football - something I didn't experience in Brazil, Portugal and Spain. At the moment I signed with Middlesbrough, I thought it was the best thing for me.
“I left Sporting and starting a new experience was important at every level. Honestly I don't regret it because I was very happy and people treated me very well."
