Jason Koumas is desperate for a run in the Wigan Athletic Football Club side.

The midfielder started against Portsmouth after appearing as a substitute in the Latics previous four Premier League outings, and he now wants to keep his place in Steve Bruce's XI.

"It's hard being in and out of the team," Koumas told the Wigan Evening Post. "It was nice to start against Portsmouth and to play the full game. You need minutes on the pitch to get some form.

"It has been frustrating. Hopefully I will get a few more minutes on the pitch to get a bit of form. It is hard to find that form if you are in and out of the side. What I need is a run of games."
