Zoltan Gera wasn’t surprised to be linked with a move to Liverpool Football Club in the summer.

The Hungarian international is in the final twelve months of his contract at Fulham, and he was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool where he would link up with Roy Hodgson.

And whilst nothing materialised from this speculation, the 31-year-old midfielder admits he wasn’t surprised to see his name linked with an exit from Craven Cottage.

"I've heard about the transfer gossip about me and I wasn't surprised at all that my 'possible departure' became a topic," Gera told Pepsifoci. "But I don't care at all about these articles.

"There were, and there will be, rumours like this about me in the future too, but I just want to concentrate on football and I want to prepare for the next game."
