Cahill price now stands at £17.5million
Gary Cahill, the Bolton Wanderers Football Club defender, would now cost £17.5million in the transfer market following his international debut.
The 24-year-old is one of the most highly-rated defenders in the Premier League, following his arrival at the Reebok Stadium after failing to break into the Aston Villa side.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have all been heavily linked with the player in the past, including during the recently closed summer window.
But after making his first appearance for England in their 4-0 win over Bulgaria last Friday, it has now emerged that Cahill’s release clause stands at £17.5million.
This is an increase of £2.5million to his previous valuation, but considering he is not even 25 yet, if he continues his progress it will still represent good value.
