Yuri Zhirkov admits he may look to leave Chelsea Football Club in January.

The Russian international was signed by the Blues last summer for around £18million, but he has struggled to nail down a place in the starting eleven.

Zhirkov hopes to get his chance before the window reopens in January, but if not, he admits he may be forced to look for a move away from Stamford Bridge.

"I’ll certainly get a chance in the next few months and I’ll try to use it completely," the 27-year-old is quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.

“In the winter, everything will depend on whether I got this chance. We are currently in brilliant form and getting past [Florent] Malouda and [Ashley] Cole is problematic.

“Everyone understands about the competition: once you are on the bench you can be there for a long time. But I will definitely get a chance.”
