Jason Pearce has played down speculation linking him with Middlesbrough Football Club.

The Bournemouth captain has been linked with a loan move to the Championship side, who have made a slow start to the season under Gordon Strachan.

However, defender Pearce, 22-years-old, has revealed he is perfectly happy at the Cherries, as he plots a promotion bid with the League One side.

"It is always nice to hear big clubs being linked with you in the papers, but I prefer to concentrate on doing well for Bournemouth,” he told skysports.com.
